Frequently Asked Questions

What to expect in the first session?
I like to talk with clients on the phone or through email before scheduling the first session. This allows me to make sure I'm the best fit for your needs, and vice versa. During the initial conversation you'll tell me a briefly about what you are wanting to work on and where you would like to end up.

What should I expect during the first few appointments?
In the first appointment we will review the paperwork that you completed from your confirmation email and we will begin the process of getting to know you and what you're looking to work on more in depth.

Sessions are typically 50 minutes in length and held weekly. Longer sessions are available upon request and scheduling availability.

For couples and individuals, session frequency will be discussed and determined during the initial appointment. Ongoing appointments are typically 50 minutes for one-on-one consultation, or longer for group consultations, and can be held through confidential video conference.

Do you have virtual appointments?
Yes! If you live in and around Olympia I would like to see and meet you in person, but in the case of occasional illness or being out of town we can certainly set up a virtual appointment.

I am licensed in Washington State. So, if you are frequently out of town or can not make it to the office, then I would be happy to set up regular virtual appointments so that you can still receive your sessions.

How does payment work?
Payment is expected at the time of session and can be made by cash, check, or credit card (including FSA or HSA cards).

Do you accept insurance?
I am not in-network with any of the insurance providers, however I am happy to help you navigate using out of network coverage.

Do you have a sliding scale?
Yes I do! I love working with people and understand we all have different circumstances. For full disclosure my hourly rate is $210 dollars. However, during our initial consultation we can determine your circumstances and how a sliding scale rate of $120-210 might apply to you.
